Spaces, Rates + Reservation Process

The CEC has a variety of spaces available to rent for rehearsal, classes, workshops and community-minded meetings. Most rentals are on an hourly basis, but we do rent in half hour increments.  You must include any set-up and clean-up time in your reserved time; the start time of your rental is the time you can get in the door, the end time of your rental is the space fully cleaned up and you are out the door.  Please return spaces as you find them; if not better!

1st Floor - we have 3 handicap accessible rooms; The Cabaret Lounge, Small Studio, Tap Room and Green Room

Cabaret Lounge, Small Studio & Tap Room - between 400 - 600 sq ft. original classroom style with chalk boards, wooden floors & 2 large windows.  Each room has tables and chairs that can be utilized.

Green Room - 400 sq ft. concrete floors with carpet, tables and chairs.

Mezzanine - Meetinghouse Theater - raked seating, holds 60-80 audience members, includes box office/coat check, small lobby and private entrance.  Performance space is black box style with marley floors, lighting & sound system.

2nd Floor - ECR Studio - 1200 sq ft. Studio with mirrors, large windows, wooden floor and chairs/tables available by request.  

Space is available 1st come, 1st serve outside of on-going classes & rehearsals hosted by resident teachers, artists , organizers & organizations.

 

Payment:

We ask that you pay for your rental before it will be considered “confirmed & booked”. We will place a courtesy hold on your date, time & space to allow reasonable turn-around of deposit. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required within the time frame we determine for your reservation to be confirmed on our calendar. The remaining balance must be paid 7 days prior to your reservation. If your balance is not paid 7 days before your rental, your deposit is forfeited and your dates are removed from our calendar.  If your request is for a date within 7 days of request the full rent amount is due to book & confirm. Space reservations are non-refundable & non-transferable.

 

We accept payments via:

Paypal, credit/debit card via the Paypal system (you do not have to activate a paypal account), check or money order.

*sorry we cannot accept cash payment.

Rehearsal & Class Rates 

1st FL  

(For expected participation of 15 or less - If you have more that 15 participants, the CEC receives 25% of the door)

$15/hour; $30/hour “after hours”

TR = Tap Toom

SS = Small Studio  

CL = Cabaret Lounge

GR = Green Room

Mezzanine Level + 2nd FL

for expected participation of 15 or less  

$20/hour; $35/hour “after hours”

TH = MeetingHouse Theater

ST = ECR Dance Studio

for expected participation of 15 or more

$35/hour for all hours

 

Outdoors/Seasonal

$50/hour; $100 “after hours”

TSS = Terri Shockley Stage

Productions & Events:

We rent the 2nd FL ECR Studio and Mezzanine Level MeetingHouse Theater for productions & events to artists, producers and organizers who want to self-produce at CEC. Theater rentals must include in-house technical support.  The CEC has a long history of being a space that can support self -production please be in touch to talk about your needs.

Event Rates

$100/hour regular business hours

$135/hr "after hours"

$500/hr for 4 hr event (includes 1/2 hour before for set up and 1/2 hour after for breakdown, any time)

 

Theater + Event Production Rates:

$495/day for productions + $150 for technician

$850/2 day run + $300 for technician

$1200/3 day run + $450 for technician

$1500 + production rates tbd, full-week schedule is Mon morning 10a load-in—Sun evening 10p strike & load-out
