At CEC, Ellen coordinates and reserves all cultural & performance events. In addition, she communicates with artists and musicians daily. In her spare time, Ellen is a master mosaic artist. Ellen takes inspiration from nature; she works with stained glass and ceramics to "take [her]
pain and inner turmoil and turn it into something beautiful for the world to see."
Theresa (Terri) Shockley is an artist turned arts administrator, currently serving as the executive director
of the Community Education Center (CEC) since 2001. Shockley has responsibility for organizational and program management of the CEC. She works with the
CEC board to raise and manage the $200K plus annual budget. Under her leadership, CEC has been the
recipient of numerous grants including the city’s Capital Grant for Arts and Culture, Pew Dance Advance,
PA Council of the Arts and the Knight Arts Challenge Matching Grant.
